Hi, my name is Annabelle and welcome to my blog! Eat Your Mood is all about helping you to choose recipes that you’re in the mood to cook and eat!

A bit about my blog…

Cooking is something I have always loved. Being able to turn a set of ingredients into a meal is one of the most satisfying things I can think to do. However, obviously not everyone loves cooking, and many people have difficult relationships with food. I set this blog up as a way to show people that cooking can be flexible, and that the more you consider what you are actually in the mood to cook, the more you will enjoy the process.

For many people, there will be days when the thought of even eating can be stressful, let alone knowing how to put ingredients together to make something edible. Whilst for others, it can be exciting to have a day when you’re really in the mood to experiment in the kitchen. Having experienced both ends of the scale, I know that cooking needs to be adapted to your mood. My blog is here to help you with this – I have categorised recipes into moods, as well as low- to high-effort recipes to help you choose what you’d like to cook. In doing so, I hope to help you enjoy cooking a little more, as well as introduce you to some of the exciting things that I love to cook.

I also realise that cooking will be more of a passion for others, and that you might be interested in what you are actually doing. Particularly when it comes to baking, it helps to understand the process in order to figure out what might go wrong, and how to avoid it. Where relevant, I have included a little information section to help you understand a little of the science behind the recipe. But please feel free to ignore – sometimes you simply want to cook, not read!

So please explore my blog, and see what works for you. It’s important to remember that the best meals aren’t always those with expensive, fancy ingredients. Care and attention to cooking can make the simplest ingredients into the most memorable meals.
